We are 100% foster based which means every single animal in our care is kept in a loving home environment and closely monitored for both behavioral habits/issues as well as any medical concerns. All animals are held a minimum of two weeks prior to going up for adoption, and if they do enter their forever home after the minimum two week hold it is so that they can be fostered to adopt while we complete their vetting.
Cats adopted from APARC are all tested for FeLV/FIV prior to adoption, dewormed, given at least their first round of vaccinations (including rabies if they’re old enough), dewormed at least twice, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. To help offset their medical costs all cat/kitten adoptions are $100.
Dogs under the age of 6 months adopted from APARC are all vaccinated (at least 2 rounds of DAPP and one of Bordetella) including rabies if old enough, dewormed at least twice, and microchipped. Under the advisement of our veterinarian dogs under the age of 6 months are adopted out on a STRICT spay/neuter contract; the cost of the spay/neuter is including in their adoption cost if a veterinarian practice we work with does the surgery. To help offset their medical costs dogs under the age of 6 months adoption fees are $300.
Dogs over the age of 6 months adopted from APARC are all vaccinated (at least two rounds of DAPP and one of Bordetella) including rabies, heartworm tested if of the appropriate age, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. To help offset their medical costs dogs 6 months - 18 months adoptions fees are $300, and dogs over the age of 18 months adoption fees are $200.
